Before digital cameras came along, you had to set your "F stop" to the proper setting to have the right exposure for your photos. There was a saying among photojournalists: "F8 and be there."--set your camera to F8, and get to the scene ready to go. Not that much has changed, really.

Welcome to the Observer's Photo Blog

Truth be told, I wanted to be a photojournalist when I grew up.

"If your pictures aren't good enough, you aren't close enough."

Showers of Blessings

68 photos went to Facebook from the NWLC so I could post a link for them. It is a bounty of the good, bad and ugly.

This photo, taken Tuesday night during Matt Redman's set features the wrap around visual they started using--it wrapped around the platform and on to the walls. This photo shows a tiny bit of the band, praise hands and the graphic, with the lyrics. It was amazing looking, without being so overpowering that it became about the graphic.

The photo was taken in color, but I pulled the color out in the "dark" room.

How much to reveal? There are some nutty people out there! Leave it to say right now that I am well educated, a person of the Christian faith, and never without an opinion.
