Before digital cameras came along, you had to set your "F stop" to the proper setting to have the right exposure for your photos. There was a saying among photojournalists: "F8 and be there."--set your camera to F8, and get to the scene ready to go. Not that much has changed, really.

Welcome to the Observer's Photo Blog

Truth be told, I wanted to be a photojournalist when I grew up.

Photo Series: Snow Covered Tables

The sunlight, the snow, the rows of tables...just beckoned to be photographed. Snapped with the BB.

  1. Dear The Observer,
I took some pictures of the snow formations too, only on banisters and in pots. I'm amazed at the perfect formations of bunkers and hills and igloo shapes that snow makes.

    Too cool, even for snow,

There were, in addition to these symmetrical piles, eddies in the snow, like ocean patterns. It just begged to be photographed.

thanks for looking in, and for commenting.
