Before digital cameras came along, you had to set your "F stop" to the proper setting to have the right exposure for your photos. There was a saying among photojournalists: "F8 and be there."--set your camera to F8, and get to the scene ready to go. Not that much has changed, really.

Welcome to the Observer's Photo Blog

Truth be told, I wanted to be a photojournalist when I grew up.

Has It Really Been Two Weeks?

So sorry to have no posts here for two weeks. It's not that I haven't been taking pictures--in fact it's an embarrassment of riches. I get to rummaging around in the digital pile looking for just the right one. All I come up with sometimes is reasons why I should not post this one or that one. In the end, I end up like this Wayside Waifs kitty; just watching. So, no more of that...

  1. Dear The Observer,
Well, let me just find a wet noodle to lash you with.

Art takes time, right?? And kitties like windows.

Thanks for looking in at my photographic efforts and for commenting!

Yes, the kitties love the window. There's a bird feeder outside now, and people walk by all the time as it's on the dog walking route. Plenty for kitties to look at!
