There were rumors that the Phelps clan (I just flat refuse to call this organization a church) would try to disrupt or protest John Glaser's funeral. The Patriot Guard riders were invited to support the event and to provide protection from the protesters. I am happy to report that there were no protests.
The Riders brought up the rear of the procession. Here (below) they are at the 135 Street/Quivira Road turn and here (above) turning off of Roe Avenue onto the church property.
Dear The Observer,
ReplyDelete1. I am with you on the Phelps Commune. They are not a church.
2. What nice people.
3. I am going to link this organization on my motorcycle club page as another example of a lawful MC--and will link this post as well, sometime this weekend.
Thanks for the great documentary here.

In 2. above I mean the Patriot Guard. Of course. And for 3. above also.

ReplyDeleteRE: 2 &3 above---I knew what you meant! :-)
I knew that there were organizations of motorcyclists that had arisen since the Phelps Commune started their protests, but this was the first time I met any of them or saw them in action first hand!
