Before digital cameras came along, you had to set your "F stop" to the proper setting to have the right exposure for your photos. There was a saying among photojournalists: "F8 and be there."--set your camera to F8, and get to the scene ready to go. Not that much has changed, really.

Welcome to the Observer's Photo Blog

Truth be told, I wanted to be a photojournalist when I grew up.

Sea of White

These amazing plants did their thing again this year. They are amazing--I even found some among the brambles in the back yard.

The flowers seemed to like the winter we had--everything has bloomed like crazy this spring/summer! Lots of flower pictures to look at. Also, Sunday night and Monday night had fabulous pink sunsets and I got a few pictures (of course).

I wish I knew. Several things were planted when I moved here. These things are hardy and spread like crazy. I wish they bloomed twice a season. Guess that's a little much to ask...

    Thanks for stopping in!
